- Samples need to be collected, at most, 5 hours before they are delivered.
- When you arrive in the UConn Dairy Bar Parking Lot please contact us using the reminder leaflet that was in your sample kit.
- We accept cash or check. Cost: $200 (this is normally over $350).
- Due to the popularity of this program we have exhausted our grant funds that were offsetting most of the costs to analyze samples.
- We are actively applying for more grants to continue this program with low cost sampling.
- We test for total coliform bacteria (TCB), nitrates, sodium, chloride, fluoride, pH, chloride, hardness, sulfate, turbidity, iron, lead, arsenic, uranium, and manganese.
- You will receive two bottles:
- The bottle wrapped in plastic is a sterile bottle. This will be used to analyze the presence of bacteria.
- The larger, unwrapped bottle will be used to analyze the metals and nutrients.
- We cannot accept any samples mailed to us due to the time sensitive nature of our bacteria analysis.
- We do not yet have the resources to operate out of any of our satellite offices.
